ABOUT

Juno Kim is a multi-disciplinary photographer residing and working on the unceded traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. After a celebrated career as a chef, he naturally began with food, product and event photography, then developed a deep passion for lifestyle, portrait, interior design, and architectural photography.

Juno studied psychology and sociology at UBC while working as a fashion buyer before becoming the go-to private chef for the city’s top brands in the 2010s. Chef Kim was known for his impactful flavours, beautiful plating and his ability to tell stories through multi-sensory experiences. Juno leans into these past experiences, his developed keen eye, embodied mindful presence, and deep interest in human psychology to inspire and inform his visual storytelling.

Outside of photography Juno is the founder of The Felt Sense, a series of mindfulness experiences and coaching for those looking to tap into their own innate embodied mindfulness. He’s certified as an IMTA mindfulness teacher and an emotional well-being coach — infusing all of his incredibly diverse and rich life experiences into how he approaches photography, creativity, well-being and life in general.
